Now that i am alive again..
So says here that i am,indeed, much to the dismay of my sister still alive
and i know that i have much to update about my recent days and how there are spent
but i asure u, if i have a dream of escaping to another world, i hope i can realise the dream fast
but lets not dwell on the past and move on to the future
now many people ask me how do i manage to stay at home with nothing but 4 walls and a
steady internet connection
and you know what i shall tell you
remember my ikea bookshelf which i featured a few entries ago ?
now that is my key to eliminating bordem
i dont know why but many people just fails to see how interesting it is to read ( if the content is interesting)
and cant sit still to finish even the summary, heck the moment they see a book they become
hilter and would round up every last page and gas them in camp
but it's okay, it's their loss
since i am at it i might as well feature some books
( dun mind the dingy coverings of my bed, just blending into the normal girl's life )
Now that is a series i cant live without promoting to others SOPHIE KINSELLA'S SHOPAHOLICS !
it is so fun to read and hard to put down ( mind u all my features are hard to put downs )
short and sweet, it's about a big spender and her everyday misfortunes which eventually leads up to
something big which is pretty much the story flow
i would like to say that to her other books but it's all not that hot
this one's good, about power struggle between 2 sisters and the king, and i heard it's real
this one's about an orphan girl who once been rich and how she suffers before she got rich again
in which her caretaker is the stepmother, brings an interesting twist to the average cinderella
story, especially when her caretaker melted to a sticky green pool of goo when she lost her rich student in the end
this one's a bit like shopaholic, but instead mr right met her on a plane and they discover more
then they were to each other and somehow her best friend got linked in and got into a big mess
of love triangle, which is good, gives more substance to a story.
Ah, for vampire fic lovers, this one is about an impossible love story between a vampire and a
human, this guy is made out to be quite a hunk and the girl in the story discovers the dangers of
being with the supernatural.
some loose ends but it's only the details part, it is still able to pull it all off quite nicely
not to mention this is a series, so there is much to be anticipated about this one !
Okay i cheated and watch the movie first, but i still find the book more captivating.
it's all about the details people !
the movie is so general that it just kind of not link up and fall apart like my power point slides.
the book covers the girl's biographgy from her youth till old and her chronicles of life in which
she learn the arts of the geisha and falls in love, how she waits for the man she love and how other man love her.
now this is one beautiful book, classic and told from a point of view that makes u think that u are listening to the narrator instead of being it yourself,
and it dont have what i call mr midnight spoilers which goes by "little do i know that it's the worst thing i done in my life" that kinda thing
This i also watch the movie first, miyazaki's movie is different from the book, but i respect him for that, the characters are much more noble in the movie then the book.
okay old grandma sophie under an enchantment meets bad boy wizard howl and his fire demon, falls in love while not noticing.
the thing i love about the book would be how wizard howl whines and the bickering between sophie and how they break down this wall between them.
this is a must read for those who like fantasy ! though the ending is much to be desired for but the beginning and process will make up for that.
there are sequels ! but only featuring a little of the main characters that make everything so famous.
okay i will do comics other time, i am sure i bore all to tears by now. till then.
